Peter DeBoer made me mad the day before yesterday. He said the 1942 record of the last team to win 4 in a row after being behind by 3 was a record that would not go 200 years. He said why not the Devils to break it now? Well, I fumed over this for two days and today had a new thought. The Kings haven’t won a Stanley Cup yet and that record will not go 200 years. So why not the Kings now?
Screw DeBoer and the Devils. I’m not just a happy-go-lucky gal on my way to the hockey game tonight. I am in warrior mode – I want to win. I think that is how the Kings feel too. The Kings have been a true Cinderella story but the fairy tale is over. Now its hard work by a team that can win. And we CAN win. We are 3-2 going in to game 6. If the Kings can get away from all the distractions and keep their mind on the game and be just a bit pissed off, well, we CAN win this.
What I’d like to see:
- Kopitar takes shots on goal
- Quick stays in net
- Richards and Carter cross ice pass in front of Brodeur
- Brown hits
- Everyone else plays their position
That’s it really. The Kings need to do what the Kings do best. Win games in the post season. I’ll be there tonight yelling and cheering along with all my brethren in hockey. Scream your heads off wherever you are. Make your neighbors take notice! Go Kings!

Tonight is the night. While I realize that the so called “Great Brodeur” gets plenty of attention. How about the refs watch him a little closer with that stick when someone is in front of him about to shoot? Tripping, u bet he gets away with it.

I hate that one ref. I think its O-Rourke. The older one. He is so hot and cold, up and down. One game he is for the Kings, the next its the Devils. C’mon refs – keep it even! Either for both or against both. Especially this game.
