Dwight King was the only member of the Los Angeles Kings Stanley Cup winning team to have yet to sign. Luckily for King and us, he signed his contract today for 2 years at $1.5 million or $750,000. per year. I’d say that’s a deal and a steal! Way to go King, we are so happy to have you.
Dwight “Kinger” King had quite the playoffs for the Kings. To familiarize yourself with his assists and goals, etc. I found this updated stat box over at Hockeydatabase.com. You can also click on the teams for the roster and stats of other players as well:

Another great signing that’s continuing to keep the same bunch together. Nice to see these guys not demanding rediculous amts for contracts. These are the DL right fit, right attitude players he’s wanted and now has. Wtg Kinger.
Keeping the Cup winning team all together is just what I was hoping for.

Hi Bev!!!!!!! Hope you are doing well. Its kinda slow so this signing was a nice happening today.
I wonder if we are the only team to have kept everyone together after winning the cup? hmmm…I’ll have to look that up!

It looks like he did really well with Manchester so hopefully he will do just as well or better with the Kings. I was very happy to see how he and Nolan conducted themselves when they were brought up to play in the big league. Right now I’m filling in the time watching the NHL Network. I hope they televise the games you told me about in September and October. Can’t wait for the new season to begin. All the blogs are dry as dust and I need my fix.

Hi all.. me too regarding watching the first series..although I have them myself.. but if they come on it is one of those .. sit and watch kind of things..think the lazy days of summer have hit me.. i am doing.. just not as frantically. I have my FF tickets and now my Battle of the Empire tickets as well.. It is on Oct 6th, a Saturday. Tracy..did you get on the email list?
So Happy to have all of the guys together and signed! Peaceful feelings rather then stomach all churned up in knots. There is a face pic of Kinger on the King page that tells of his signing.. too funny as he look so much younger and has all this hair.. you should post that for the girls to see…
Back to chores(and I have not forgotten to follow up with the other Camp pictures).

I did get on the list! I’m just waiting to get lots of money to buy tickets and hotels, etc. My Duck’s friend wants to go to the battle of the Empire but whats the point when she is all the way on the other side of the rink and I can’t hassle her.

I got 2 tkts in the Red section..$36 i think.. we MUST go to a game together..Mary is putting in one order now.. she prob can do another later.. needs a quota I think to get a group of tickets at a better deal..
Maybe we can plan a Womens night when we play the sucks at the pond.. since you already have season tickets for home games..I know I will HATE the atmosphere there but whatever..
I am sure there will be tons of King fans there.. I went to a pre season game there years ago..we sat at the very very top row..could touch the ceiling.. I remember it was a great view ..and we won

There actually should be a law against non-hockey season. It’s the cause of boredom, depression, lack of purpose in life, and no doubt numerous other non recognized sicknesses…..headaches,nausia,athletes foot, just who knows what all else. Besides all that, I’m tired of this heat already.
Oh, and hi Tracy and all the other hockey females around this place.

Since you are near to LV, are you going to Frozen Fury? I want to go this year, I’ve never been. Trying to talk hubby into it but he hates Vegas. I know I can meet up with hockeyjockey and maybe I’ll grab Mary…
