According to Puck Daddy over at Yahoo Sports, ESPN messed up on broadcasting the Dynamo Moscow vs. Ak Bars hockey game today. It was scheduled for this morning but no links appeared over at the ESPN website. People (including me) were trying to get a feed to watch a little hockey or even to see if it was real and we would be able to watch later this evening. Nothing.
We shouldn’t be surprised, ESPN has been notorious for minimal hockey coverage over the past years.
According to Shawn McBride, the KHL’s North American media contact: ”I just heard that there was a miscommunication and they used today’s game to test the transmission; broadcasts will start this weekend.”
So there you go. We did think it might take a few tries to get it right so I accept this as just a bump in the road to the end of watching a game on my TV. The schedule for this weekend remains the same:
| Date | Matchup |
| Wednesday, Oct. 3 | Dynamo Moscow vs. Ak Bars |
| Saturday, Oct. 6 | Lev vs. SKA |
| Sunday, Oct. 7 | Slovan vs. Dynamo Moscow |
| Monday, Oct. 8 | CSKA vs. SKA |
| Tuesday, Oct. 9 | Lev vs. Dnyamo Moscow |
*All games can be seen on ESPN3.com.
So there is the update and hopefully we will have a game on this Saturday to quench even a small amount of our thirst for hockey.
*Here is a link to the map in a larger scale. This map seems to be up to date but I can’t read it for sure since I don’t speak Russian.

Hockey, hockey, hockey …. (she said, as she wandered through the wilderness of NO HOCKEY LAND! … still going through withdrawls ….)
hahaha, thanks for the info Tracy! At least I don’t have to worry about missing the debate tonight.
